Felt funny tonight...hot and sweating, and really tired and foggy while
playing cards. Went to test, and BG was 209! Now, it has not been that
high since being diagnosed in March! I don't know what is going on, but I
have been having complications. My eyes (still don't have vision back and
they told me I would in a couple months)...then, feet started in with the
neuropathy, thus the podiatrist, and then sciatica set it again, and
dealing
with that now...I was doing G R E A T, then boom! I don't know if it's
stress, all the extra appointments, or just complications with having
diabetes, but once again, I am here, throwing it on the table for my
friends
to hear. I'm not depressed, but I am having terrible anxiety worrying
about
it. I have been in therapy for about a month, and I am averaging about 4
appointments a week with all this stuff. I have to go in the morning for
a
shot in the hip and I guess to pick up a prescription for physical therapy
for the hip pain and sciatica. Podiatrist just gave me orthotics,
however,
he said due to hip misalignment (probably from birth) that not much could
be
done about my feet pain and the way I walk on them without consulting a
orthopedic surgeon (probably talking about double hip surgery), and this
is
too far out for me. The podiatrist said he usually is able to help, so
just
try the orthotics and see if it will help me walk better on my feet to get
off of walking on the sides of them which I have terrible calluses which
can
lead to ulcers.
Anyway, freaking everything seems to be going wrong. I have managed to
keep
my BG between about 90-160, however, tonight it just jumped to 209 and
really freaked me out!
Once again, thanks for being there, and more than that...just having
someone
who understands the frustration, pain, and confusion. I've only been an
"official" diabetic for 6 months, but I feel like I have been through the
ringer!
Hugs to everybody...hopefully, my next post will be better.
