Re: Chronic Illness

I've been pretty damn frustrated with this newsgroup myself. It is a
very self-selected group and the most frequent posters by far are
those who have exceptionally good control. If I compare my best days
with them, then I am only slightly inferior. If I compare my worst
days with them... well, I feel really really bad. So I try not to
compare anymore. Then again, sometimes it's truly funny to see people
who've never been hospitalized for DKA or a hypo, or fired from a job
or dumped by a girl for being diabetic, moan and groan about spiking
after a bagel.

Yes to all the above. "I" once was with the in crowd then someone became
jealous and I was pretty much a cast away because I could not do as well. I
still like the group because the "mature" ones understand and have never
called me names or talked about me here in the group where I would be
humiliated.

Di, just remember I am here for anytime. I am here for any decent
considerate person.

Mona is badly hurt now. Also two diabetics I know died
in the past week, So not in a good mood. Better
shut up and hope others make the group work.
