I had a checkup this week -- mostly good but also with a negative. The doc
said we "couldn't ask for better" glucose readings than I have been getting.
It was 85 that morning and 105 in the doctor's office (only 45 minutes after
I had eaten lunch). My blood pressure was also pretty good (105/88), but my
total cholesterol is still too high (228) and the HDL is a little low. I
have not needed any diabetes medication for more than two years, but that
level of cholesterol isl something I know I should work on. I know the
answer, or at least a large part of it. That is, I am sedentary -- have
completely failed to find the motivation to exercise. <sigh> On the
positive side, I made a *huge* change in diet after being diagnosed T2 in
May 2004. I have stuck to it since that time, and it has had good results.

Hi Mary,
Sounds like you and Will have made a good pact. I know you are
focused on what to do improve your cholesterol numbers, but I do want
to say your diet modifications/controlled BGs are inspirational. So
don't forget to give yourself a pat on the back for the good things
you've done!
