Hi! I am a student in the College of Pharmacy at University of
Illinois at Chicago. I am very interested in what any of you have to
say regarding the following topics:

1. How would you describe the impact that diabetes has had on your
life? Is there any metaphor you would use to describe a diagnosis of
diabetes?

2. How do you feel about healthcare professionals and how they cater
to your wants and needs as a patient? Do they provide you with the
information that you desire?
Much improvement over the last 25 years - MUCH improvement!!
3. What type of healthcare professional (doctor, nurse, pharmacist,
etc.) do you most often seek out for help/advice/information?

Nurse. I am now in a program through my Medicare provider where I see a nurse regularly.

and, it is not that my last few physicians were that bad. - just the nurse program I am in is SO much more helpful

I'm sorry to say, pharmacists are not much help. Some are worse than worthless., most can fill your scrip as written, but little more.
