I don't know about your particular situation or what the hospital is really
thinking -- you say "evidently" their concern is with possible hypo but
did
they actually say so? if so, who said?
Something else to consider -- they may not plan on certain procedures,
but considering what-if's, even some far out ones, & it's safer if you
don't have something incompatible in your system if they suddenly
need to do something.
I had to have nothing-on-but-a-hospital gown (& those cute booties!) for
my
surgeries, even though they were just for shoulder or neck area --
just-in-case they needed to do something drastic if anything went awry.
