I'm currently on Glucovance (Glyburide + Metformin) and I may talk to my doctor about switching to just Metformin. I've read that 1500 mg is kind of like a minimum dosage to get a reasonable benefit in lowering bg.
I'd like to ask the type 2's here, what dosage you take of Metformin, do you combine it with other bg lowering drugs, slow or regular style.
Thanks, Just trying to get an idea of what's typically taken when taking Metformin alone.
Thanks,

I'm on 2000mg XR daily, plus diet & exercise with varying levels of discipline. Last A1c 5.7, but gardening season starts soon, and that almost always boosts my exercise level.

Priscilla. Sounds like your doing great. I was at 5.9% then went up to 6.1% last time, but I know I get less exercise in the winter months and then their was Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Do you take your 2000mg all at once or divided?
