Priscilla gave you the best advice, but you may not realise
it yet, so I'll repeat the link:

The reason that advice is so good is that it leads you into
designing a meal plan that suits YOU to minimise blood
glucose spikes.
There is more of course. You may also need to lose weight so
you may have to also change your meals to help weight loss.

But that's only what worked for me - you know what you like
and what you don't, so it may not be directly applicable to
you.
Eventually you will come up with a plan that works for you
for BG's and, if necessary, weight loss. At that stage it's
wise to review it for overall nutrition to ensure that you
haven't cut out too much. But in the short term BG control
and attaining an appropriate weight are, in my opinion, the
priorities.
