A CDE and dietician recently told my support group that one should only
subtract fiber from total carbs in bread when the bread contains at least 5
grams of fiber.
I haven't heard this anywhere else so I can't evaluate it or recommend it.
However, whenever I eat bread which is infrequent, I buy Milton's Whole
Grain bread which has 5 grams of fiber per slice giving 11 grams net carbs.
It's a great bread. Milton's Multi-grain bread contains more carbs so get
the "Whole Grain."
