BG's have been getting better again since stopping the prednisone
last month.. so they didn't totally destroy me. My fasting for the
past 30 days have been 109 and daily average has been 127. Was
starting to have too many hypos so endo raised my basal some
during the day to keep me from going low. I seem to move and I
drop like a rock until I hurt then I go through the roof, Endo says
bolus and neurosurgeon & GP say take a percocet and in 20mins
when it kicks in I'm back dropping like a rock... so I've kept quiet
and took what they all said and figured it out myself... Now I only
bolus half of what my endo said and take my pain meds and I simply
don't move until AFTER the meds kick in. :)

What's SO bad, is that my neurosurgeon is DEMANDING that I keep
my glucose LOW, because anything higher then 120mg he's afraid
that it will 1) promote infection inside still. (he says I'm not infection
free until 6mon post-op/rheumy said same thing) 2) also too high of
glucose will inhibit new tissue and bone growth for the titanium cages
to adhere too, which will ultimately make the fusions fail... and ALL
of this will have been a competely waste of my time, pain and effort!

Therefore, I'm MORE then happy to be complaint.... because I know
90% of my glucose being high is from pain.... Though, sadly, being
on the couch for the past 5 months has made me pack on about 25lbs.
Now funny though.. it doesn't take me long to lose weight. I just stop
my snacking.... :)

Hello Reisa,

I am truly sorry that you have been suffering so much lately. I
sincerely hope things keep getting better and better for you.

Take care,

Will, T2
