Great news Reisa. I'm sure you can use some right now. Hope things are
better with Danni.

4 days ago it was infusion set changing day, so I went to grab
a new set and realized I was down to 3 sets! I think I went into
panic mode just like a druggy being out of drugs. which I've never
done when I've ran out of my meds.
the last time I'd ordered my sets from Animas directly and they
refused to put my order under my pharmacy plan and stated that
it could only be billed under my DME which is billed at 80/20 therefore
I got my bill of around $280. which really isn't too bad since its for
months of supplies for my pump. but even at that price, it often breaksto
us because of the other money going out for my other meds. So, I was
talking to my endo about cheaper places and she gave me a few to call.
so when I went into panic mode, I found the paper and started calling
on Tuesday morning. I'd gone through the first 3 and none of them were
a help, then finally the 4th said she'd call my insurance co and talk
themtold
and call me back. about 45mins later the phone rang, answered it and
me that everything was a GO! asked what all I needed, then said theymost
likely would need a script from my endo, asked me their name, shepulled
it up in the computer, I verified and said I'd have my order byFriday..
to
At 11:38am this morning FedEx was a knockin' with my box! I opened it
make sure everything was there, it was, including my strips in a coldbox!
nicely wrapped and insulated with a ice pack! I didn't need any insulincan
right
now, because I can get that off my pharmacy plan. But they said they
bill my strips off my DME which once I reached my deductable for theyear
they take my insurances 80% as payment in FULL! so for the rest of theyear
NONE of my pump supplies or strips will cost me a CENT!let
WHOOHOO!
So if anyone else has a simular policy, and are interested in the place
me
know. They'll also take medicare.
