If I had only one drum of strips, I'd use them even if they were expired.
What I would be concerned about is if they seemed to be giving results that
were unexpected. For example, if I were maintaining normal habits and, as a
result of using those strips my numbers were changed (for good or bad), I
would not trust them. Or, if I had altered my habits and say started eating
a lot of junk carbs, knowing full well that my BG shoots up in such cases.
Would I trust those strips under those conditions? No. Or, if I were
testing how I reacted to a new food. No, I wouldn't trust them for that
either. I would only use them under routine conditions to verify "normal".
If I didn't see expected, I'd not trust them.
What I wouldn't do is use expired strips only over long periods of time.
That could lead to getting and believing fasle results.
