Re: [OT] Please be thinking about us - update

This is something we've been needing to do for a long time. I've tried to
make sure Jim has understood that I am not complaining, but that there is
only so much one person can do, and there is no reason he should feel like
he has to do it all. He forgets a lot, and I hate reminding him; sounds
like I am nagging. Thank goodness he prepared us for retirement, and while
it is not as easy as actively working, we do not scrape from pay day to pay
day; just have to use some good sense in management. We do not need my
disability nor retirement for daily living, so if necessary, I have that to
contribute to my care if need be. It is worth it to me. We just do not
have the expenses of *wants* and stuff any more. We are happy with what we
have.

I am going to enjoy seeing and talking to another person besides him, now.
*s* And a female at that. I had to choose someone I felt comfortable
helping me with my bathing and stuff like that. This has been such a BIG
adjustment from being so independent to even needing help to brush my teeth!
We will set up a morning routine, and that will help immensely in my getting
all my meds each day. Reminders do nothing. I can get them all out
(pills), turn to get a drink, and in doing so see something, and will have
no recollection of the meds at all until I find them later dropped all over
everywhere. Other times, I have no idea at all if I've taken them, and
afraid of doubling, do not take them. I can tell at the end of the month
that I have missed doses because I will have pills left over from a 30 day
supply.

Thanks, TaniO. I'm still thinking about you and your eye surgery.
Myasthenia Gravis affects the eyes, and I am working on that with the med
Neuro has me on. It is helping the blurred and double vision (man, *that*
is a nuisance!); I have to keep the lids taped up to keep them out of my
line of vision. Beneath it all is perfect vision from my lens implants.
Maybe in six months or so, I will be able to use my good eyes. *s*
