You may have to wait a while. The latest report is that there is a
shortage even for those with prescriptions so the manufacturer has asked
doctors not to prescribe it until they get more stocked up.

I read online that the shortage is not actually with the Byetta itself, but
with the injection pens used to administer the drug. Apparently it is so
popular that the company that makes the pens can't keep up with the demand.
