That's how I read it, too. That's not what I objected to, it was the
fact that he thought it was funny that people who aren't here are in
bad control and suffering from complications.
It's not a "fact" that I thought suffering diabetics were funny. You
not only assume that you can read my mind,
Hello Chris
i dont know if he thinks he can read you mind or not. I think he just read
your posts.
this is what you said:
"> "That's why I come here. I don't want to end up like any of the real
world
diabetics I know."
and here is your own remarks about it.
"The humour was in its juxtaposition to the two or
three preceding posts."
so basically it was the last part of a multi part joke as you put it.
dont you humorists usually save the punch line for last?
soooo below is the punch line?
"> "That's why I come here. I don't want to end up like any of the real
world
diabetics I know."
some punch line.
but since I've explained
what I did think was funny,
arnt jokes told to make other people laugh?
and if you have to explain it - how good could it have been.
maybe it was that punch line.
"> "That's why I come here. I don't want to end up like any of the real
world
diabetics I know."
and it wasn't suffering diabetics, you
clearly think you can read my mind so well that you know I'm lying
when I say that suffering diabetics wasn't the joke.
it was part of the joke... the punch line.
It's getting increasingly hard to be polite to someone who persists in
thinking they can read my mind so much better than I can myself.
once again i think he is just reading your posts. do you have to read
your own mind
to know what you are thinking? thank god you are a mind reader or you
would have no way of knowing what you are thinking.
I
don't claim to be an expert in diabetes, but I do claim to be the
world expert on what I personally think.
and everybody else is wrong?
He posed it as a "joke".
Quite right, and without any ""s either.
so it was a joke.
I didn't find it funny that he thinks people with diabetes who are not
in this newsgroup are inferior and in need of help from a.s.d.
Once again you think you can read my mind so well that it doesn't
really matter what words I use,
i never knew it was required to read ones mind in order to get a joke.
kinda makes it hard for the comics. if you tell a joke that requires mind
reading.
who knows it might have been funny - to people who can read minds and that
is why the other one found it so funny. shes a mind reader?
you can see right through them to my
thoughts and tell that I'm lying.
maybe he did. however i am not a mind reader.
I'd be impressed and interested if
this telepathy of yours ever scored a hit.
Hey Kurt.. what am i thinking right about now?
see Kurt isnt a mind reader.
There's a vocal few who are so intolerant of disagreement that they
constantly resort to criticising the motives and personalities of
people who disagree with them. That's childish and damaging to the
purpose of this newsgroup.
here?
