I think it is more that Janet and I were trying to think of the most disgusting thing we could think of since you made lambs fry sound mysterious. <g>
We have been having Independence Day music on our Comerica
radio stations today. Happy Independence day by the way.
Thank you! I can't imagine what "Independence Day music" would be. It's not something they play around here even when our local brass band plays at the park before the fireworks.
Lambs fry is finely sliced lambs liver. Milder than bovine liver. It is a splendid source of Vit B12 and many other vitamins and
minerals.
With liver one now has to worry about what might have gone through the animal's liver, which includes whatever was sprayed on the grass they eat. I used to adore chopped chicken liver and made it at home, but it's been years since I've eaten it.
We don't get much lamb in our markets (though much of what we get comes from your part of the world.) Mostly legs and chops. I don't know if you could buy lamb liver in a store in my region.
I live right across the road from a herd of sheep which often greet me with querulous baaaaaahs when I wander out at dawn to pick up my morning paper. But I don't know if my neighbors grow them for food or as a hobby They're school teachers not farmers, and they keep roosters, too.
Another friend keeps sheep and goats, too, but complains bitterly that they cost far more to own than they bring in and that she can't even give away the wool.
Not like in your part of the world!
