Hi,
I am 30 years old and have type 2 diabetes. Had a hard time controlling sugar, but it is now undercontrol. Need to know what diet and exercise ideas anyone has.
Thanks,

Your solution needs to be a 'custom design'. I would recommend two books
to you: "Diabetes for Dummies" and "Diabetes Solution" by Richard
Bernstein. - also don't take the second one to be absolute truth, but he
does seem to make a lot of sense.
I would tell you my story. I am 60 years old. I was diagnosed type 2 one
year ago. At that time my blood glucose (BG) level was around 300 and my
A1C (a measure of average BG over several weeks) was about 11. Average
values for a healthy non-diabetic person for those measurements would be
about 85 and 4.3-4.6, respectively. The doc put me on Metformin 3x500 mg
daily, and told me to exercise more. He also told me I would not have to
radically change my diet, just eat less of everything. I have since
changed to a low carb diet, exercise as much as I can (about 50 miles
bicycling weekly plus upper body dumbbell exercises three times per week).
My BG is now usually in the 90's. My A1C has been as low as 5.2, recently
up to 5.9.
Lots of folks will say that under six for A1C is 'good enough' - I'm
striving for under five - I believe the ADA recommendation is to treat you
if it's over seven. Main point - there are lots of different folks with
different ideas about diabetes. It's impossible to tell who's 'right'.
You're going to have to take control, do research, study the way your body
reacts to carbs, exercise, meds - and decide what you're going to do.
