Re: Natural selection

Billiie
Wish I had something to offer. I have had fungus and parasite
problems with the leg. Osteomylitis (bone infection) finally
destroyed one leg. Amazingly the one that was the most
of the problem survived and after six years is almost normal.

I have worked on it all of the time. I am still here causing
trouble. We should have a wheelchair race sometime.

Diana lives very near to where you are going. Guess
I will never be there again.

I do know the frustration of our plight and you can vent all you want.
I will try to support people here I am trying to make the group
with the support in a friendly way. Life is tough for
so many here.

I am sure you will find a lot of people here that will
be with you. I think Diana still has my phone
number If you ever need to talk Mona is my wife
and is a great person. I am the old bum..

I have had chronic problems for years and am still here.

All I can say is to get the best Doc you can find.

So many here will be here to support you.

Guy

PS My niece in Ohio has just been diagnosed with Lupus.

I've been thinking about you the past couple of weeks as I've developed some foot and leg
problems. Primarily, we are coming to the conclusion that is initiated by the connective tissue
diseases, but then worsened by the diabetes. My feet and legs are grotesquely swollen, and I am
unable to wear any shoes. The skin is so taunt that there are eruptions with water seeping out.
Last week the vessels beneath the skin began to break because of the pressure. No amount of
diuretics affects them; that is one of the telling factors that it is not most likely
circulatory. Got a clean bill of health on my heart, so that was good news especially
considering my heart history. *s* Today, we started treating the autoimmune stuff, starting
slowly until we're sure that is the cause for sure, but my anecdotal history tends to match what
is happening.

However.......... it is the eruptions in the skin, and their not healing that keeps me
concerned, and with thoughts of you. At least my docs are on top of things, and want a report
in two weeks regardless of how things are, better or not. There is always the open-door policy
that I can call at any time I am concerned with the progress, or lack thereof. Jim went back
with me when we were there, and he, the doc, the np, and myself all sat and had us a little
pow-wow on all the possibilities of what might be going on. Jim and I came away feeling
satisfied..... well, as satisfied as one can be when they cannot bend their ankles, nor wear any
shoes, and the top of their feet are red and purple from the broken vasculature beneath the
skin.

Thanks for the chance to vent; I know you can understand my anxiety over the situation; I want
to keep my feet. :-/ We'll just see how the prescribed regimen will work out.

Have a marvelous day...... go check out that garden! :-)
Billie

p.s. I'm sorry you do not see your daughter very much. We've had some rocky moments with our
children, but things seem to be smoothing out now that they are reaching middle aged, and have
experienced a few of life's challenging moments. <vbg>
