Every time I start fooling around with fast carbs (flat breads, homemade
tortillas, "lower carb" breads, two Taco Bell crunchy tacos with workouts)
I gain weight, my glycemic control sucks, and my appetite is kicked up a
notch or two.

Why don't I learn?

Hello Uncle.. just wondering.... did you put any protien and fat on your
carbs?
Just wondering why someone would call food from Taco Bell carbs? look at
the fat content
and protien content and also the carbs... chances are someone without the I
HATE CARBS agenda would simply say... I AM ADDICTED TO FOOD.
all any newbie has to do is think about the types of foods they crave when
they have the munchies.
most of the time i am willing to bet there is more calories from fat then
there is from carbs.
people gain weight from eating more calories then they burn. not because
they eat carbs, fat or protien.
the best any newbie can do is follow the advice from their doctor about
exercise and a dietitians advice on nutrition. I see lots of people talking
in here about how unhealthy low fat diets are. I also see it said in
studies funded by the Atkins foundation and the American Egg board not to
mention the beef people. however i can find many people who are known for
being healthy that eat low fat. can someone show me one picture of someone
on low carb that has a great body? it would even except pictures from
those here that act as if they are a picture of health. any diet a newbie
chooses will work better with the help of his diabetic team.
