I know these fat free kraft singles and they are not cheese:-) they ae
pure plactic, in texture and tste, but then many of the Kraft singles are
not very chesey, but are called "cheese food" a term of art fo rstuff that
has som echeese in it but other things as well.
speakin gof the test you describe. When I ws in 6th grade (abou 11 yers
old) we studied nutrition and tested for fats using brown paper bags. I
had recently been put on skimmed milk (the old blue kind) for weith loss
adn the teacher let me test it against the regular milk by putting som eon
the brown paper and lettign it dry. You coul dsee the difference as the
ful fat milk paper dried translucent and the skim milk one dried opaque
and srinkled. Clearly, it made a great impression on me as I remember it
soem 58 years later:-)
