Certain national descions have to be thoght out and reached.

1-If we want to stop illegal immegrants the place to start is enforcing
the laws already on the boks against the emplyers. If there is no way
ofgetting a job, then people won't come, orat least not in the numbers tht
do come.

The laws only require that the employer checks the ID of the employees, not
verify that they aren't forged.

2. If, as the empployers say, we need the workers then we do not have
enough imegrantw through teh legal channels and we have to greatly
increase the number of legals by changing quotas and easing up the long
and complicated waits for entry visa. If it is esy to get the entry visa,
why go through the difficulties of illegal entry?

3. If there are enough US citizens to do the work, but not at the low
wages employers are willing to pay,, and only cowed, illegalas with no
recourse to sue for minimum wages, benefits, workers' rights, etc, then
something is very wrong. If the only way America can compete or do the
jobs that are needed is to sneak in third wolrd labor and pay third world
wages, we have more problems with teh future of this country than we are
willing to face.

Or people just start cutting their own lawns for a change.

The reality of the matter is that employers of illegal aliens are just
passing on the cost of employement (like insurance, education) to everyone
else in the economy. Walmart does the same thing.

I don't know the answers, but I have the feeling that others are not
asking the right questions.
