Re: found some great low-carb cookbooks

I bought some of her books, too, after they came up here a few weeks ago. We are interested in trying the smoothies because this will replace buying similar at Sonic this summer. Jim is interested in checking out the 15 minute one, too. Yuk! Who wants to retire after 49 years of working just to slave over a hot stove! LOL

With the sharing of ideas, cheering each own, etc., it can actually be fun finding ways of coping with what is best for each of us.

We are retired too; have been since 1993, when Jim took early retirement at 55 yrs old. We moved into our RV and travelled for four years until we got grounded by his mother, who couldn't ( or wouldn't) live on her own any more. Last summer she went off to the cocktail lounge ( she hopes) in the sky, and we are in the midst of planning to leave here on may 2oth, getting back the end of october. Happily the two dachsies love travelling, so they are quite excited when they see stuff going outside to the Bounder!

More than you needed to know, probably!! Actually the point I was belatedly coming to is that I still enjoy cooking, and it is hard to be creative with this No Carb thing. I am doing it though! Had Philly cheese steak sandwiches last night......without any bread! I put the cooked meat, onions and mushrooms in a casserole, put some cheese on top, and melted it!.
