That is quite all right Cheri. I have a beef with
fools like Chuckles who post their ignorant crap all
over usenet, but when not reacting to that type of
stupidity I am not really all that difficult to get
on with.
I have posted here before several years ago, like
most, after my diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. I was
welcomed with abuse from Ted, support of that abuse
from his sycophants, and challenged on almost every
post I made if it didn't slot neatly into the
preconceived concepts of the ASD mafia. I see little
has changed.
I am a merchant marine officer and have just
completed a three year contract, or actually it was
five years but the company is losing a couple of
ships and reduced it to three years. Normally I work
cruise lines but for the past three years have worked
freight - it allowed me a major promotion. I have
spent a lot of time experiencing first hand what the
yanks have done in Iraq and my opinions of idiots who
praise their efforts are not going to be swayed by a
few jingoists and their moronic, brain dead
supporters. They must be brain dead to not cringe in
humiliation at what their county is doing rather than
supporting it.
The American troops on the ground in Iraq are in many
cases the same sort of street scum that spent their
early youth mugging people and dealing drugs in many
major US cities. Only here they have uniforms, guns
and a command that makes every effort to turn a blind
eye.
While some troops may be good and decent people, most
aren't, they are the dregs of American society. Most
Americans would be terrified of them if placed in the
position of most Iraqis. Violent thugs with guns.
Those photos of the torture etc. weren't an
exception, they were SAP.

Cheri, I just realised who you think I am. I am
David, not Phildo, but
as there are already too many Davids posting here, I
use Salty as a
nick.
I have strong opinions and am not 'hiding', just
doing what everyone
else does and using a nick.
Cheers
David AKA Salty.
Salty - the real David ;)
Please don't call names. We are all here for one reason
and that is for support in this horrible curse called
diabetes. We all have different opinions, different
personalities and such but none of us deserve to be
called names. Not even you. Thank you.
