Who decides who is a longtime, valuable member?

Might just be an individual thing, but I'm betting that if you took a
poll about Guy, most here would say he is a longtime valuable member of
this newsgroup.

I think most of the
posters here, are. I also don't think defending yourself against some
untoward posts is taking swipes or attacking. Guy was aggressive in the
Atkins thread, and he got aggressiveness in return.

Never once did I see him name any specific names.

He also fired the
first shot, but I guess you're ignoring that. Whatever. He's a big boy
and can defend himself.

So then we're not allowed to defend someone in here who we think was
unjustly attacked? Very few ever hold their tongue when someone they
value in here is attacked by another. Yourself included.

I think he's far from senile though

Yes, the senile comment about him was yet another brick in the brawl.

it differently, I should be that senile at his age and with his life
experience. :-)

Yeah, me too. I'm 41 and already starting to place post-it notes all
over the house to remind me of things. :)

Best,
Kurt
