Compared to several friends my age who are now dead, excellent.

Thank you, Jenny.

Some readers here will only see the funny side of that quip.
Then they may ponder a little longer.

In my case you could add "or suffer from significant
diabetes-related complications" after "now dead".

I'd be very interested to see Sally's similarly specific
answers to her own questions. Fair enough, Sally?

Here are mine, before you ask:

here's my question to you and susan. how many carbs do you eat a day?

75-180; usually about 120. Diurnally variable - zero before
midday, most between mid-afternoon and late evening.

what kind of exercise do you do?

Not enough, but usually 15-20 minutes in the pool or 30+
minutes on a walk.

what medications are you on?

Statin: lipitor 20mg
For diabetes: 2x500mg Metformin generic.
Supplements: CoQ10, Calcium/Magnesium, B12.

how would you rate your general health?

Compared to myself four years ago, bloody brilliant. The
extra person I used to carry with me is gone, my BGs are
under control, my periodontal disease has never been better
since diagnosis thirty years ago, the leukemia has improved
since diagnosis. The only thing that hasn't is my
hypogammaglobulinemia and my apparent need to annoy you.

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.
d&e, metformin 2x500mg
