thank you for your comments Rudy....... they will
be given great consideration before i allow us to
go 'close to meatless'
i'm getting the feeling that hubby will be happy
with 2 oz of meat twice a week :-(
i think that is contrary to my diet which is 100gm
of carb a day......... sigh we'll have to come to
some compromise along the way

Hello, Kate
While I'm not familiar with that book, I can say
a good way to go for most people most of thetime. It is extremely difficult
to get to complete proteins with a meatlessdiet. It can be done with
suppliments., and some people will feel betteron a meatless or nearly
meatless diet. That's all to the good. Anabsolute vegan type way of eating
is very difficult. There are almost no dietaryrequirements that cannot be
gotten with a sound dietary plan. There are somethough. It is a lot easier
if one allows fish and eggs. Or milk and cheese. That's a very much easier
plan and is pretty manageable for most folks. Some, of course can't eat fish
or milk or cheese. I don't know a way aroundthis problem for them except
supplementation which is available.supposed to do a lot of
