All of my forehead lines are horizontal.(Old Age) We moved to Az when I was
10. I can't tell you how many nasty burns I have had. I am a blue eyed and
very light skinned. I finally figured out after the hundredth time of
burning peeling and turning white again, I would never tan, so stopped going
out in the sun. I now swim in our pool but make sure I am loaded up on
sunblock and only swim when the sun is not at it's highest.

I don't have those lines there.. I do have a few
"wrinkles" forming, but from years of using diff
facial muscles. The CA sun did get to me, lol
I do have startings of crows feet.
I'm sure I got a lot of sun as a young child and we didn't have sunscreen in
those days. We moved to WA when I was 7. Here we don't get a lot of sun.
I did try to sunbathe in the summer, but after receiving a nasty sunburn at
home and once again on vacation in KS, I've tried to avoid the sun. I did
get one more nasty blistering burn as an adult when we were on vacation in
CA. My husband insisted on spending several hours at the beach. I told him
I couldn't do this because I burn so easily. I was wearing sunscreen, but
it didn't help. He's Italian and has naturally dark skin. Takes a lot for
him to burn!
Now I do go out on occasion to do yard work, gardening and such, but I try
not to stay out long enough to burn. I try to stay in the shade, wear a
hat, long sleeves, etc. I am bad with sunscreen though. Don't usually like
to use it because it seems to cause problems with my skin. I used to buy
one brand that came in a "sport" variety. Had no problems with that but it
seems they no longer make it.
I also used Retin-A for a while in high school for acne. They use it now
for wrinkles because it causes the skin to peel. So that might have been a
help.
