I'm due to go in to the dentist in Feb. Will have to check to see exactly
when. I've never had periodontal disease or even much plaque for that
matter. I did have a badly damaged tooth nerve on the same side where the
recently affected sinus was. At that time I couldn't tell if the pain was
coming from the ear infection I also had or not. The dentist said the nerve
was so far gone that I had no feeling at all left in it.
Unfortunately with that tooth, I had been living in NY and had an accident
with a heavy box that fell on my head. I am pretty certain that was the
cause. The dentist described a blow to the side of the face very much like
what happened to me and said that likely the cause. At the time, I remember
pain in the tooth and also felt something gritty in my mouth like the
filling had broken. But I was going to the dentist the very next day. So I
didn't worry about it. I told that dentist who totally dismissed it and
said there was nothing wrong with the tooth. She refused to do an X-Ray.
The pain continued and I could discern swelling on that side of my face.
Once again, I went to that same dentist who once again dismissed it and said
my teeth were fine. She also refused to do any X-Rays on my daughter,
saying she was too young to need them.
So when we moved here the first thing we did was hook up with a dentist.
Angela had a small cavity. I had a small cavity in that same tooth I had
been complaining about. The filling was indeed damaged and the nerve in the
tooth was shot. Had to get a root canal and crown.
The pain is totally gone now and so is the swelling. The Dr. said that
sinus was totally swollen shut, and the ear on that side was full of fluid.
I am sure that was the cause of the pain. It was the lower sinus that
extends from the side of the nose up across the cheek up to the ear. None
of the other sinuses seemed to be affected.

I know. And my daughter has more food allergies than my mom!

My daughter chewed her out the other day because she ordered a Mexican dish
that had both cheese and chicken in it. Two things she is allergic to. We
then went over there the next day where my mom said she had terrible pains
in her hands and attributed them to eating the foods she shouldn't have. My
daughter didn't have any sympathy for her at all. It's one thing to
accidentally eat something you don't know is in there. But this wasn't the
case.

True. Occasionally my mom will believe something I say. But not very
often.

That would be me! My daughter and I were looking at pictures from past
dance recitals at her studio. We began arguing over the picture of one
girl. I thought it was a girl in her jazz class, but she insisted that it
was a girl in her ballet class. Each of us were convinced we were right.
Both girls have blonde hair and are about the same height and build, but
other than that don't really look alike. The girl in the picture had her
head down, so you couldn't really see the face. Well, Monday at ballet
class, my daughter proved me wrong. Heh!
