Ken,
Although not yet diabetic, I am IGT, I've gone thru a large weight loss over
the last year, 25lbs, by doing just as you described - no sugar and severely
reduced carb intake. I'm now down to a weight I was when I was racing in
rowing boats about 15 years ago. Feels good.
Tho I do worry about losing too much weight. How much is too much? I still
row and cross-country ski so hope to find a happy medium. Eating to maintain
weight is becoming an issue - I don't want to drop muscle once the fat has
gone!!
