Thank you so much for replying. I don;t know where to turn for information
on people who are not yet diabetic and learning what to do. It seems like
there aren't any "charts" I can find for my situation. CAn I ask another
question ... SO this morning my fasting bg was 92. I ate my normal breakfast
bar which is low carb (1 hr later 102 -- still fine Im thinking) THen I had
lunch -- almost no carbs or sugar BUT I did have 2 SUGAR FREE cookies (2hrs
later 142!!!!!) IS THAT TOO HIGH?????

Incorrect, there are many that will have glucose readings over 120. To name
a few those who are IR that are _NOT_ diabetic. Simply because someone is
IR does not mean they are diabetic. Also those who take oral or injected steriods
will often have readings over 120. Those who are terminally ill or those who have
a massive infection in their body will often see glucose readings over 120.

This is because the body's BP, temperature, glucose and heart rate along with their
thyroids never are a constant value, they are always fluctuating no matter what and
depending upon the emotion of the person.

| So no, 180 is not normal--ever.

A 180 is not normal when it becomes more constant.

| The definition of "diabetic" is tricky.

It isn't very tricky at all. The definition is someone who has insufficent insulin production
or someone who's insulin being produced doesn't function as it should.
