Dave

Been pumping since 1996. I've used the 506, 507, 508, and 515. I really like the 515, but I don't use the Bolus Wizard after some issues with it that even MiniMed admitted were indeed valid.

I'd also like to see how big the transmitter is for the sensor and try out the whole thing before I consider a purchase.

I use the long tubing with the Quick Sets which are a huge improvement over the older Soft Sets. I had a hard time keeping the old sets on during hot weather. The Quick Sets never lose their adhesion.

The long tubing allows me to toss the pump beside me while sleeping. I don't like it clipped to my shorts in bed because I had a problem with my hip that would keep me awake at night. Now that I'm more conscious of removing the pump from it's daytime position on my waistband, my hip problem finally resolved itself. It hurt so bad I had the doc order an X-Ray.

My wife is about a foot shorter than me and uses the short tubing. She's been pumping a year less than me. I'd never consider for a second giving up pumping. Life has improved dramatically for me since I started in 96.

Some of the things a DM can do when on a pump is sleep late, eat "whenever", exercise on a few minutes notice, deal well with DP or sick days, eat pizza and not go "sky high".
