| Only way to know for sure is to stop taking it for awhile - probably
| just one day. If the pain and inflammation get worse you know it's
| been helping. There are a number of NSAIDs on the pharmacy shelves.
| 500mg Naproxen twice a day seems to do as well for me as any of them.

yeah, right now I take 800mg of naproxen .. 3-4x a day which semi helps
but not like it used to.. another doc at the ER when I went in with my
hand (same issue, arthritis) gave me Ibuprophen 800mg to take 3x a day
totally ripped my stomach apart and I was on the loo 20x a day for a good
week.. ug! think I lost weight though ;-)

| Do what you think is best. I didn't know what to expect when I had my
| physical, but six months ago I expected a higher A1c and it was right
| where the doctor wanted it to be. I was still really pleasantly
| surprised when the latest on taken on October 18th was 5.6.
|
| I know I have had spikes and thought I had entire days that were
| higher than I should be, but the A1c shows it wasn't that common. When
| I looked back at my test numbers on my meter, which keeps them for a
| long time, those spikes were not nearly as many or as often as I
| thought they were. I think it is simply because we remember those more
| clearly than we do the really good tests.
|
| Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
| Just remember that you are your number one care giver and the doctors
| work for us - not the other way around.

Well if I was doing half way okay, I'd prolly say ehhhhh and tempt fate..
but from the cortizone in my hand because I have almost no cartledge left
between my fingers or wrist that hurts like hell half the time and with my
back getting the cortizone... For about two months now, for about a week
after each I never hit below 250... the back shots really did me in though,
ug! can't believe I was back hitting 500's again.. thankfully today I'm down
to 300's... I reckon I'll stay there for a few more days then taper back
down
again... Heck, for dinner I had a salad.. with Basalmi Vinegarette dressing
and chicken club wrap.. exchanged fries for salad.. so.. bah! and that hit
me like a ton of bricks. So, I said screw it and gotta mocha cappicino while
at the Mall. Figure if I have to suffer, might as well get some enjoyment
out of it.. pfft! walking half way through I had to stop 4x ... GOD I feel
so
damn old!

ok lol enough bitching.. I'm off to watch a movie and then watch the blanket
show.. enjoy
