Good :) You may get a surprise.

Sounds like a plan.

I have never heard about stopping meds for blood tests, but
if I am wrong someone will chime in ;) In fact when I book
for blood tests I am told I can drink a little water to take
any meds.

The thing about a diabetes diet is that you can't "cheat"
like on a weight loss diet. Cheat on a weight loss don't and
you either don't loss weight or you stall, if you "cheat"
with your diabetes diet you stand to get all sorts of
complications, none of them good, some of them irreversible
and some of them downright fatal. We have to put it into a
different perspective than weight loss diets. Just be
careful with your choice of fruit and vegetables (and/or
amounts). Some fruits will have the same results as eating
sugar.

exercise?
Me - I do things that are fun! Aquaerobics, jogging with my
large dog, dancing, walking a few afternoons a week
delivering junk mail with my son while pushing my disabled
child in a stroller. I join in with the kids when they play
basketball, cricket, football etc. I help with the aerobics
exercise for my daughter's special needs class. If you don't
enjoy exercise you won't keep it up. Even just walking all
around your suburb every day is a great help.
