My exposure to Usenet is a dozen or less groups. I could hardly
affirm or denie your statement. My gut feeling is that you are wrong.

However I know this; If I went into my local Multiplex and starting
witnessing for Christ then it would only be a few minutes before I was
shown the door. Why? People paid money to see a movie without
distractions and in relative quiet and comfort. My actions in this
case would impact on their expectations.

Usenet has rules also. Group charters setup the ground rules and
discuss acceptable behavior in the group. Moderated groups even more
so. Most of us have to pay for Newsgroup access. I know I do, and I
have an expectation that the group rules will be honored.

When someone repeatably violates the rules then that poster should
expect complaints to follow.

A quick scan of my groups list showed any number of groups that Chung
would find more acceptable to his needs.

Should he want to post here about diabetes and observe the group rules
he will not be challenge. The ball is in his court.
