I am living proof that IR does not inevitably lead to overweight or obesity.
I am type 2, am 5'7" tall, and weigh 118 pounds. My endocrinologist says it
would be nice if I could gain a little weight. I also have celiac disease.
In a medical article I read this morning it was reported that there is a
connection between celiac disease and diabetes (bad genes in both cases) and
that celiac disease sufferers tend to have low weight.
One size does not fit all, there are sometimes other factors which come into
play, and I seem to be zebra in a stable of horses.
