Would the weight loss be enough? Are there other ways to cure/avoid T2 besides meds and testing? Thanks for any advice/suggestions.
It won't hurt to try losing 10-15lbs. My own mother was diagnosed with T2 DM while a bit overweight, and after a weight loss of about 15 lbs (5'tall, 126 lbs at diagnosis, 110 after weight loss), lived for another 20 years (to age 85) without meds. She was careful about her diet and weight. And she didn't have any complications at the end of her life. What a woman!
