g'day tenplay,
yeh that's a good one that the medical praternity uses hey even with
hypertension they blame weight and diet and say things will cure
almost magically if you lose weight and do more exercise, well been
there done and doing that and guess what apart from cut tablet intake
and strengths and getting good control can't see any of it curing.
i looked to diet and found that on the grains side of things all my
bod' wants is some whole grain rice all the other stuff wheat/gluten
etc.,. caused my glucose reading to stay high and the doc's to
presribe more and stronger drugs. i eat grass fed beef and home grown
in season vege's.
i went back to a higher protein diet cut out using that axle grease
called margarine (you know that soy junk as bad as aspartame) you know
the butter alternative i now use butter and full cream fresh from the
cow milk plus eat lots of other things i woyuldn't touch before under
doc & dietician orders all of which never did anything to counteract
the weight gain from the side effects of the drugs (no escaping that
one).
i have increased wexercise but that is only walking got problems with
back and knees that prevent full on power sort of stuff but heaps of
little easy walks i also try to put a small amount of food into my
stomach about every 2 hours i find if the stomach is busy like that
you don't tend to get those hunger pangs that encourage eating huge
amounts in less sittings. and after doing all this my cholesterol now
needs no drugs for control, plus from taking around 8 different drugs
as a daily routine i am down to 1/2 of one tab a day for hypertension
and one tab of 4mg strength for t2 control, that'll do me as i work my
way to lessen even that. and over hte last 6 months i have lost over
20 kilograms of weight that is over 4"s from around the waist. now
wearing clothes i used to wear 10 years agao before all this happened
while following a dietician/doc induced good health routine.
my advice get proactive with your health try things when they work
tell your doc to keep him/her updated my doc got used to being my
adviser more than my ruler.
