It's an adventure

Ok, so Sunday at around 17:00 my BG=6.7, great! Anyways, I didn't
feel like eating the same boring foods again. It just seems that I
feel like eating grass all the time. You know what I mean, salad
this, salad that, veggie veggie veggie veggie.
I felt like splurging a bit, felt like fried calamari. So I checked
my Diet Journal and looked at my BG when I ate the same thing about 2
weeks ago. I ordered out, fried calamari and chicken fried rice. My
readings weren't that bad, low eights. Plus my nutritionist didn't
mind that I ate some fried calamari, it's the rice she objected.
So I ordered out, had the calamari and rice. Checked my BG before
going to bed = 9.3 Sheesh, last time I had it the reading was in the
low 8's. But, just then I remembered the last time I had the calamari
I took a long walk an hour after supper. I didn't this time. Anyways
went to bed, my reading when I woke up was 9.7 A bit shakened, but I
had a rough night, didn't sleep well, thought about the high BG's
through the night. That plus the dawn high BG reading you get
sometimes.
Decided to go out for a long walk, fed the squirrels at Lafontaine
Parc (Montreal). At noon got ready for lunch, sat at a picnic table.
Looked around, cleaned my hands with some bottled water and took a
reading ............10! What? 10!!! No way, this didn't make any
sense, I started to get really depressed. Man, BG rises when you
sleep, when you eat, when you don't eat, when you're stressed , sick,
I started to look at the clouds. Who knows maybe you're BG rises if
the sky's cloudy. I mean what the........it didn't make any sense
anyways. I was mad, really mad, then I thought......wait take another
reading, this time the other hand. Cleaned my hand with some bottled
water, my reading = 7.2. Frustration you think, big time frustration.
So I'm thinking, should I test twice each *&?%)( time I get a high
reading?
Ok going to bed, but of course I have to take a &?$%
reading..................
My two cents worth
