Thanks for your help everyone. I really don't care about the 20 second wait that it says it has. It takes me longer than that to poke my finger......lol. Sounds like that meter is the way to go as far as prices go. Take care everyone, hopefully someone will find a cure for this mess soon.

   I have two Wal-Mart meters.   They are a bit clunky,  a bit slow,  but
AFAIK accurate and reliable.    They compare well with my OneTouch Ultra and
Accu-Chek Advantage.
