The symptoms I had of undiagnosed diabetes were:
1. Continual, miserable low-grade urinary tract infections.
2. Continual, miserable fungal skin infections.
3. Drug-resistant yeast infections that would not quit.
4. Blurring vision after eating a high carb lunch bad enough I would have trouble reading the signs on the highway.
5. Crashing after exercise so bad that if I went to the gym first thing in the morning, it ruined the rest of the day.
6. After taking a course of prednisone which seems to be what pushed me totally over the edge, blood sugar-wise, I developed unrelenting hunger so bad that people who had known me for years commented on the sudden change in my eating habits, saying "You eat like you're starving to death." What was really strange was that I'd get hungry in the middle of the meal and be starving at the end. I had never had a food problem before. The hunger problem did not go away after I was done with the prednisone.
6. Inability to lose weight on the low calorie diet that had always worked before. (The doctor blamed this on menopause, but I was not yet menopausal.)
