It is worth pointing out that Meyer Davidson is the person on the 1978 ADA committee of experts who helped set the original diagnostic standard as high as possible, to avoid diagnosing people with diabetes, and who continues to campaign against any use of more recent technology to identify people with diabetes early.

He seems to have dedicated his life to the proposition that diabetes cannot be treated and thus should be ignored until it is too late to avoid complications.

Anything he publishes seems to be dedicated to telling doctors to ignore Hba1cs, testing, and any other evidence that might point to earlier diagnosis of diabetes.
