If you are gonna go name brand, go Dell. Stay the hell away from
comcrap aka compaq. Dell has a better warranty and is less likely to
substitute name brand hard ware for generic cheaper parts and still
charge you the name brand price. If you can't go Dell then go
Gateway.
See if there is a local Gateway or Dell distributor in your area. In
my area we have both and it is no problem taking in the laptop or
desktop to the shop to get it fixed after the in home repair warranty
runs out.
