I looked at the ADA recommendations in the beginning, but haven't
checked them since then. It's my recollection that the ADA BGL
recommendations for diabetics are higher than for "normal people"? I
recall an A1c recommendation of less than 7? My memory could
certainly be failing me on this, but that's what my next question is
based on, so if I'm wrong, please don't hesitate to let me know.

So when you say your numbers are a bit lower than what the ADA
recommends, do you mean the ADA does recommend higher limits for
diabetics, but your numbers are actually in the "normal" range? Or
that your numbers are higher than "normal" but within ADA guidelines?

One of the things I know I'll be wanting this winter is oatmeal.
Fortunately, if I recall correctly, I wasn't hungry afterwards, but I
usually had a bowl before bed, so that would solve that problem,
wouldn't it! LOL! Other than that, I don't really like milk, so I've
never been much of a cereal eater. :-)

I'm planning on getting some steel cut oats and hopefully adding that
when the weather is chilly. This is a cold house! :-)

I am so glad that you and your wife were able to get things under
control in a way that suits both of you! We are trying here, too, to
make everyone happy and so far so good. My guys are really having fun
experimenting! :-)

And I'm so happy that my paranoia was unfounded! :-)
