Re: OT/OT USENET STUFF

Dear Happy,

I've always been a Meaning Of Life guy, myself. Except for that one "leetle waffer theen meent" Bring Me A Bucket scene. Just after my favorite "Ohh fisshhy, fisshhy, fisshhy, fish...that went where ever I did gooo.." It's not good for written media, but there is so much visually going on at once- the weird arm guy, the roller-skating elephant, and of course, the fish I wore out that spot on a tape from replaying it and showing it to people who just kind of missed it.

Oh man, The Flying Circus. Some shows you had to see a couple times cause the ear wasn't tuned to the accent and the same deal, real quick snippets a minute or two long straight in to "Something Completely Different" I don't usually get stuck on U-Tube for hours, but once the hook is in, I'll go way past when my eyes hurt.

Plus that show could save your life. You never know when you might be attacked by someone with fresh fruit. Just remember...

"Release the tiger"--og .

I ADORE Monty Python - "Bring out your dead!" "Bring out your dead!"
"I'm NOT dead!!" "What?" "Nothing, here's your ninepence!" "I'm NOT
dead!" "He said he's not dead!" "He did? Well he will be soon, he's
very ill..."

They're the reason "I always look on the bright side of life..."

Dear Giggz,

Not at all, sugar. I just try to make funny. Guess they can't all be belly
huggers. I'm not a big fan of emoticons or whatever they're called either,
so that may have helped. And I did wonder about that usenet stuff too,
cause there's a couple support ones that are like pain sub-topics that I
have watched for years (no funny, really years) that aren't doing a thing.
RSD is one of them pain activism is another. And us, if people do the
normal
dot instead of our "unique" dash, they slide right by us, on to the lake
with the moose, probably.
I guess you figgered since I'm having an issue two here I was bringing it
in
here with me. Nahh. Gotta go someplace where you can leave the bullshit
behind.
Maybe I should have said "moose manure related products" instead of cow
manure, but you never want to upset people from Jersey. I watched enough
of
the Sopranos to remember that.

Gotta go see if I can unstick the Goatmobile. Try you later on--og

Hey guys,

If somebody wanted to take an existing usenet group, say one that nobody
has
posted to in years, and redo it , what do you need to do? Suppose you
want
to make it moderated at the beginning so you could just lay down a good
base
of information and exchange and then open it up to the wild west show.
How
big a deal is something like that?

Say a group that just does weather reports on snow in some god forsaken
mid-west iceberg..Say one famous for it's lakes, moose calls, raspberry
jam
and cow manure ( N.J. is still #1. Keep trying ) They could give snow
depth
in the winter and manure depth in the nicer month. They could report on
lake
depth by teasing the moose out on to the ice with raspberry jam and the
moose call. At least until the other month when the ice is too thick for
the
moose to fall in. After that it could be anybody's guess till the
following
year, but maybe they could put the jam on a long pole, and tease the
mooses
(moosi?) in to jumping up and down, then it could maybe bust through and
they could report the lake depth for an extra 2 or 3 weeks, at least.
.
That would be good, don'tcha think? I mean people would like that kind
of
stuff, right? Wouldn't they like to write in and you know, post about
things, like that. You know?

Maybe it's a better idea for radio.

Anybody know how Usenet works?--og
