Thanks Doug. While I was laying on the floor waiting for EMS to
arrive I though of you and thought at least it wasn't my head and I
was inside out of the little snow and ice that we had.
I hope you haven't hurt anything vital with your more recent falls.
Top
Hi Top,
No just my pride. Thank you for asking. Hope you are feeling better?
Doug
in 2008, i fell from my retaining wall on to my paver brick driveway.
i literally bounced on to my head! yes, my pride was hurt (not to
mention the rest of me!!!). i can't tell you how many people
chastised me for falling. as if i did it on purpose, for shit's
sake! i was taken by ambulance to the hospital. i could not turn or
move my head or i would start to black out. i had 8-12 weeks of
solid vertigo (along with major pain). i was lucky, because i could
have been killed. so i guess this hard-headed woman is supposed to
be around for a while yet. your comment about hurt pride triggered
this memory. still to this day, people aren't letting me forget how i
fell. i really wish they would though. it was an accident, dammit!
numbskull hugs from giggz
Hi gigglz,
At least I do not have people still reminding me about my fall. It
was
only one.
I imagine I would be a bit upset if they or she kept reminding me of
it too.
You fall turned out worse than mone.I just got sewed up with 8 to 10
stitches, do not remember the number.
You will be around for a long long time. I hope I am. I always thought
I would be. I was a hard worker. Worked 6 days a week 10 to 12 hours a
day. I loved my work. Thought I would do it part time even after
retiring. I was in excellent physical condition. m Now I have no
muscle definition left, my hands are like a bay's ass. They use to be
rough like 80 grid sandpaper.
I'd bet many of us here were hard workers. Like you, I loved my work as
well as the part time teaching. I envisioned retiring but sticking with
the teaching. I was also in great shape before I crashed. I wonder who
all here has pretty much the same story.
I think we all have more things in common than just cp.
Glad you were not killed on your fall(you said it not me). Hope you
will be posting at 105 years young.

I guess we do have a lot of things in common. I did not mean it to sound like I was the perfect physical specimen and the only one who worked hard. Hope it was not taken that way?
