Re: Finding from the Judge

Thanks Jane,

I am stumped thou, I seem to remember parts of what you are writing and
some of it
is foreign to me.
But I do know what you are talking about. totally.

I was around in 2003, but I am sure I was not using the name Cane at the
time.
I may have been involved in this conversation back then, I just do not
remember that well

Again, I was not warned about this and did not think much about it when I
got dry mouth.
At appx 50 some years old I had only had very few cavities in my entire
life.
Being a "Tetracycline baby" that drug discolored my teeth badly, but the
only thing I clung onto was that
the drug seemed to make my teeth very strong. I was told by the dentist,
the Tet was what probably made them
so strong.
Then all of a sudden, a routine checkup and I have over 15 teeth fully
involved.

My wife just got done (a couple minutes ago) reaming me a new ***, for
doing this. "She says let the attorneys do it from now on, that is what
they are there for. Leave it alone now"

I told her that there are a lot of my friends out there that need someone to
run with this. I also said, " You have a life outside of this house, I
don't. This is something for me to do"

I am not trying to say that I am wonderful for running with this, but I've
already settled with the Insurance company to pay
for all of my future dental work. There really is little for me to be
gained by running with this class action.

But, hey, I make get some reimbursement for the appx $20,000 I have already
spent, out of my own pocket. But I want
the rest of you to get the help that I am getting

Thank you, Cane, and all responding with info on this sensitive subject.
It was the source of much crude comedy when the 2 of us that were
already affected tried to discuss it in 2003 here in asc-p. Hmmm.
.
Gee, I hope those folks are still laughing. And I also hope they look
just like Moms Mabley by now. :) :) Foolish folks.
.
I also wasn't warned by my doctors but I had excellent oral hygiene
including flossing and I just figured I'd be OK when a fellow painster
told me it was possible to get bad dental problems. Yeah, right.
.
Then within a year and a half I went from a full set minus one tooth on
the side to nothing, nada ... broken bits in my gums and a few stumpy
broken teeth. What a revolting development! I can laugh at myself now
but it took a long time. But mine was exacerbated by the nursing home
giving me my thyroid med & my calcium at the same time on an empty
stomach ...it goofed up my calcium in some way that calcium was being
leached out of my body... at least that's what they told me. So with the
dry mouth I got gingivitis and also my teeth started cracking while
chewing even soft foods and pieces falling out. I've refused to have the
surgery to remove all the bits in my jaws so I just deal with abscesses
as they occur.
.
It's not the end of the world; never was ...
but a blow to whatever ego you have left ....so I hope folks stay up to
date with this good information that's being provided here now... cuz
then you can save your teeth. I'm sorry to get so long ... that's all; I
thought I ought to write it after someone was brave enough to start the
discussions.
.
Peace, Jane
