Re: Getting First ESI from new doc on Monday

O geez (((((((((((((((((((((((((Mike)))))))))))))))))))))))),
Good to see you post tho sad to hear how u r doin' & what they've done
to you! Hoping for less pain for you & better docs w/painless or at
least not felt (cuz u r out for the tests) testing. I use a walker
these days (bi-lateral rsd) due to way too many bad falls w/my cane.
I don't care what I look like, I don't wanna screw up my now screwed
up hand (from the fall) anymore as there's some perm. nerve damage.
Beeee careful!
Love,

ps-yup, my husb. keeps track of all the guy stuff

Dear Mike,

At least you got away from those other clowns. You may have just swapped
circuses, but at least it's a different clown.
You did get some relief from those ESI's and you know what to expect. If
they screw up I am confident you'll catch them and set things right before
the big needle.
What do you think they're looking to find with the brain scan? Did they tell
you what may show up and what may not? I don't know whether to say I hope
they find something or say I hope they don't. Either way I wish you the best
and hope you'll keep us updated as to what's happening with you.

Keep in touch, OK?--og

It took sutter health almost a month to approve and set up this
injection. I sure hope he knows what he is doing.

My pain is worse. The addition of a new headache type just makes
things worse. I just saw my new PCP and discovered he did not yet have
a copy of my neurology assessment that HE requested. If I had not said
anything he would have forgotten all about it.

The neuro says I have right sided weakness. He wants my PCP to order a
brain MRI with contrast. All the usual causes were discussed: DDD, DJD
and MS.

I have lost all faith in these so called healers.

Mike

The neck MRI's showed exactly what I had expected they would show:
progressively worsening disc and joint deterioration at all levels
except C6-C7, which was fused. My spinal cord is engaged at levels
C2-C3, C3-C4, C5-C6 and C7-T1.

I stupidly confessed to the new headaches that hit with little warning
and make me throw up. They are unlike my migraine experiences. I guess
he is looking for bleeders and signs of past stroke. I did not realize
my right side was weaker but I knew my walking was a problem, hence
the cane to keep me from falling. However, I doubt they will find
anything other than previously detected small vessel disease in the
white matter.

You are right about the circuses. The problem is that by switching
circuses I find they want to start all over again with diagnoses. It
is the NotDiagnosedHere similar to NotInventedHere syndrome. It is a
major waste of money and waste of valuable time treating the pain.

On a separate matter, please tell me you are getting a PSA test along
with the DRE. Studies indicate that the use of the DRE has not changed
the mortality rate amongst men diagnosed with prostate cancer. In
other words, by the time they can feel the lump it is too late.
Regular PSA tests give you a better chance at detecting cancer before
it is too late. Do not look at a single PSA assay but at what happens
to the level over time (or the rate of change).

I hope this new guy listens to me when I tell him to use propofol
along with the versed. Otherwise I will wake up during the procedure
and he will abort it.

Mike
