I guess I should have made myself clearer - sorry.
The "political" terms may be fine for in-house; I was thinking more of
something we could refer to ourselves as to the outside world - to the
"normies" - without having to explain (at first meeting/exposure,
anyway) all the political BS and stigmas that go along with being in
CP. I'm seeing (in my mind) myself standing up in front of a room
full of people giving a presentation on chronic pain to a mixed group
(us & normies), and after the first 5 minutes, it gets a bit
cumbersome to keep referring to us as "sufferers" or "patients".

"Owies"? "Ouchies"? Time to pull out the dinosaur book...

Oh, the pain... THE PAIN...
