From what I looked at you saw the stats for Feb. Also when you look at Google Groups they don't always have all the same data that other servers have. If I remember correctly GG honors the no archive header information so that might not be included in their stats. Other news servers don't always honor the no archive so I might get that data. I hope that explains rather than confuses.

Don't worry about it - I live my life confused! ;> Did the stats you have for "total" come from just this group or from all posting on all groups (I do quite a bit more posting on a cats group and a TV show group than I do here)?

Just this group. I don't get any cat groups but maybe I should look for a dog group. I have 3 Yorkies so maybe I could find other Yorkie care takers. I don't own mine, they're just generous to let us live in their house/domain. Very nice of them I think.

Hmmmm. I did a "search" in Outlook Express for all posts by "CatNipped" in this newsgroup and only came up with 164 (which I thought was a lot for this group since I don't post much here). I only started posting in here October 20, 2008. I really don't think I've posted 112,851 posts since then. Is that the number of posts, or is it bytes or something. Not that any of this matters, I'm just confused as usual! ;>

This strange. Here are the numbers I came up with for you in the same time period:

Group : alt.support.chronic-pain
Computing time : 12:00:00 AM
Statistics : from 10/20/2008 to 2/13/2009

***** Users with most messages *****

64 : CatNipped

***** Users with highest total size of messages *****

193,911 : CatNipped

I don't know why there is such a large discrepancy in the numbers. The 112,851 you saw would have to have been kilobytes though. It is strange that different approaches have such diffrent numbers and I have no explaination for that.
