I'm seeing my PM doctor next Tuesday. Last visit she told me that I was
"taking enough pain medicine to kill a horse" and flatly refused to give
me
more even though what I have is not working (15mg of Oxycodone every 3
hours).

If it isn't obvious to her, perhaps you should remind her you are not
a horse. Perhaps taking off the saddle will help :)

Aside from going to another doctor (and starting the process all over
again), is there some way to convince my doctor that I really do need
more
medication? She did try putting me on Kadian, but that made me really
ill.

That is a rough one when you are already seeing a Pain Management Dr.
When my PCP refused to go any further I asked for a referral to a Pain
Management Clinic, this obviously can't/won't work in your situation.
However, if there is more then one Doc in the practice perhaps you
could ask/suggest getting a second opinion stating that your current
course of treatment is cutting it & you would like to get other ideas
on how to approach the situation.

Hey how did you make out with the DR?
I just saw this.
My Dr gives me 20 mg Opana 4 times day
80mg Oxy 2x day
350 mg Soma 4x a day
Baclofen 10 4x a day
1 Topamax
1 Mobic
and the best part is
NONE of it is working!!!!!

Me, or Zombywoof? I'm seeing my doc at 3:45 today and I'll let you guys
know tomorrow how I did - I'm hoping having my husband with me will help
validate the fact that I'm not just a junky looking for drugs (before 4
months ago I'd never taken anything stronger than an aspirin - I don't even
drink alcohol!).
