Re: Need some input on health issue

What is a normal temperature? I ask this because I have been told that
'normal' varies for different people. In other words, there is a
range.

Hi

Are you sure she got the complete thyroid panel bloodwork done? If
she only got the TSH test that is not a conclusive test and can be out
of wack for years before it shows up on the blood test. I know, it
happened to me. She also needs the thyroid antibody tests taken, if
she already hasn't had that done.

I think somebody suggested taking her temperature. This is another
way of checking for thyroid problems. Some doctors recommend taking
temp 3 times daily and averaging that out each day...then doing this
for 30 days. If it consistently runs lower than normal then she most
likely has a thyroid problem.

Does she have any other thyroid symptoms? Tired all the time? Weight
gain? Irritable? Depressed? Brain fog?

Good luck! I hope you and your wife find the answer to this.

My wife is always cold.
She has been thoroughly checked for thyroid.
Nothing unusual in her thyroid tests.

All her blood tests show everything is normal.

She is around 50 years old.
We live in Northern California.
